Please note Encore Performing Arts is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization, and all positions are volunteer-only. There are no physical office locations, and most of the work will be done virtually/remotely.

  • We are currently seeking a Development Coordinator to join our team to provide administrative and operational support to the Development Team. This volunteer role serves as the operational backbone of Encore’s development function, ensuring development systems, fundraising initiatives, donor engagement efforts, and sponsorship activities are organized, consistent, and effectively executed.

    This role reports to the Director of Development and focuses on securing sponsorships, cultivating business relationships, and identifying strategic collaborations that advance Encore’s mission. The time commitment is approximately 2-4 hours per week/minimum 8-10 hours per month, with increased involvement during fundraising campaigns or production periods. This is an ongoing volunteer appointment with flexible scheduling.

    Please note: Encore is a non-profit, fully volunteer-based organization, and all positions are unpaid. There are no physical office locations and most of the work will be done virtually/remotely.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Provide coordination and administrative support for fundraising initiatives and campaigns

    • Execute donor and sponsor acknowledgement processes and support coordinated communications as directed by Development leadership

    • Maintain accurate records related to donations, sponsorships, and engagement activities within Encore’s giving platform

    • Lead campaign setup and updates within Givebutter as directed by Development leadership

    • Coordinate the development of fundraising materials and communications, including working with internal or external marketing partners to produce collateral such as sponsorship pitch decks, campaign materials, and donor-facing content

    • Serve as the primary liaison between the Development team and Marketing/Creative to ensure all materials are aligned with campaign goals and delivered on schedule

    • Coordinate donor recognition and stewardship efforts

    • Support logistics for fundraising events, donor experiences, and community engagement activities

    • Track deadlines, action items, and follow-ups across the Development team to ensure timely execution

    • Prepare regular fundraising reports and summaries, including donation tracking, campaign performance, and sponsorship activity

    • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all fundraising systems and records

    • Serve as the primary point of coordination for Development operations, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to work independently with little to no direction, as well as a part of a team

    • Comfort working with digital tools and online platforms (experience with fundraising platforms or databases a plus)

    • Interest in nonprofit fundraising, arts administration, or community engagement

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently

    • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within a volunteer-driven organization

    • Passion for the performing arts and community impact

    • Prior nonprofit or administrative experience is welcome but not required

  • We are currently seeking a Development Manager, Individual Giving to join our team to support donor engagement and philanthropic growth. Working closely with the Director of Development, this Development Manager position focuses on building meaningful relationships with individual supporters and strengthening Encore’s base of annual donors and is ideal for a relationship-oriented professional who enjoys connecting people to purpose and helping individuals invest in the arts through philanthropy.

    This role reports to the Director of Development and focuses on securing sponsorships, cultivating business relationships, and identifying strategic collaborations that advance Encore’s mission. The time commitment is approximately 3–5 hours per week/minimum 12 hours per month, with seasonal increases during campaigns and productions. This is an ongoing volunteer appointment with flexible scheduling.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Implement and execute Encore’s individual giving strategies and annual fundraising initiatives

    • Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors and prospective supporters

    • Lead donor outreach and relationship management efforts, in coordination with acknowledgement processes managed by the Development Coordinator

    • Lead and execute annual appeals, Giving Tuesday campaigns, and targeted fundraising initiatives

    • Help identify new individual donor prospects through personal and community networks

    • Represent Encore at performances, events, and community gatherings to foster donor relationships

    • Manage and maintain Encore’s online giving platform, including campaign setup and tracking

    • Maintain visibility into individual donor activity and engagement to support retention and growth efforts

    • Contribute to achieving annual individual giving goals established with the Director of Development

    • Support development of a welcoming and inclusive donor experience

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 2+ years of experience in fundraising, relationship management, sales, or client engagement

    • Interest in or familiarity with nonprofit philanthropy preferred

    • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills

    • Ability to work independently with little to no direction, but also as part of a team

    • Established presence within the Central Florida community

    • Passion for the performing arts and community impact

    • Self-motivated and comfortable working within a volunteer-driven organization

This position is ideal for a well-connected professional with strong business relationships who is passionate about leveraging partnerships to strengthen the arts ecosystem in Central Florida and will help support the growth of corporate philanthropy and community partnerships.

    This role reports to the Director of Development and focuses on securing sponsorships, cultivating business relationships, and identifying strategic collaborations that advance Encore’s mission. The time commitment is approximately 3–5 hours per week/minimum 12 hours per month, with seasonal increases during productions and sponsorship cycles. This is an ongoing volunteer appointment with flexible scheduling.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with corporate sponsors and community partners

    • Support development and execution of corporate sponsorship strategies

    • Lead efforts in securing financial and in-kind sponsorships aligned with Encore productions and initiatives

    • Represent Encore at networking, business, and community events

    • Help position Encore as a valuable cultural partner for local businesses and organizations

    • Coordinate with the Development Team to ensure timely sponsorship fulfillment and recognition

    • Collaborate on partnership opportunities that expand visibility and community engagement

    • Contribute to fundraising campaigns where corporate participation is applicable

    • Maintain and actively manage a corporate sponsorship pipeline, including prospect identification, outreach, and follow-up

    • Work toward defined sponsorship revenue and partnership goals established with the Director of Development

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 2+ years of experience in fundraising, business development, partnerships, sales, or client relations

    • Strong professional network within Central Florida business or corporate communities

    • Ability to work independently with little to no direction, but also as part of a team

    • Experience building or managing partnerships preferred

    • Excellent communication and relationship cultivation skills

    • Passion for the arts and community engagement

    • Ability to represent Encore professionally in external settings
