Encore has a rich tradition of showcasing the dynamic talent of our community through high-quality musical and theatrical productions, driven by a dedicated team of over 300 volunteers. While we do have a full-time and ongoing volunteer team, we are always looking for general volunteers to help with individual productions and projects.

Audition Information - HymnSong Choir Auditions

Encore Performing Arts is excited to announce the return of HymnSong 2026 this February 28 - March 1, in partnership with St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

All Choir audition submissions are due by Monday, December 1, 2025 @ 11:59pm ET

SUBMIT AUDITION

Choir Audition Requirements:

  • For the best user experience, we suggest submitting your audition via a non-mobile device.

  • Individuals who have already sung with Encore Performing Arts or St. Luke’s UMC during the 2025 season need only complete the application form to be considered.

  • Applicants who have not sung with either ensemble this year are asked to submit a video recording, approximately one (1) minute in length, performing a song of their choice.

  • Those selected for the HymnSong 2026 Choir will be chosen from virtual submissions. No in-person auditions or callbacks will be held for this selection process.

  • Choir casting will be announced prior to Christmas 2025.

  • Soloist roles will be cast separately from the choir and by invitation only.

  • Space is limited — only 115 choir spots are available.

Rehearsals:

  • Rehearsals for the Choir will begin January 26, 2026 and will occur on Monday and Thursday nights until the show opens.

Show Dates:

  • February 28 - March 1, 2026

  • All performers must be local to Central Florida and have Central Florida housing. No housing will be provided for this production.
